This Cochrane Review is at the protocol stage and there is no abstract or plain language summary. The objectives for the review are as follows:
- To evaluate the benefits and harms of conservative treatment modalities for the treatment of gynaecologic cancers in young women who wish to preserve their fertility
- To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of trachelectomy(simple or radical) for cervical cancer stages 1A1 with lymph-vascular space invasion, 1A2 and 1B1 in patients who desire to preserve fertility
- To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of conization for cervical cancer stages 1A1 with/without lymph-vascular space invasion, 1A2 and 1B1 in patients who desire to preserve fertility
- To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of pharmacologic hormone treatment for endometrial cancer (and endometrial atypical hyperplasia) in women who choose a fertility-sparing treatment
- To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of different surgical modalities (cystectomy, ovariectomy, salpingo-ovariectomy uni/bilateral) in the management of ovarian tumours (borderline, epithelial invasive, germ cell neoplasia) in patients who wish to preserve their fertility
