This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:
The primary objective of this review is to determine the effectiveness of screening by EBV serology and/or nasopharyngoscopy of asymptomatic individuals in reducing the mortality of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
The secondary objectives of this review are to assess the impact of screening for nasopharyngeal carcinoma on incidence, survival, adverse effects, cost-effectiveness and quality of life.
