This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:
To determine the clinical effects and safety of antipsychotic drugs in comparison with placebo or another antipsychotic drug in the treatment of people with persistent negative symptoms of schizophrenia and schizophrenia-like psychosis.
