This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:
To assess the effectiveness and safety of the endoscopic techniques of carpal tunnel release compared to any other surgical intervention for the treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome. More specifically, to evaluate and compare endoscopic techniques in terms of a) relieving symptoms, b) producing functional recovery, return to work and return to daily activities and c) safety and complication rates.
