This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

The objective is to assess the effects of psychosocial interventions for retention in drug abuse programs. The main outcome of interest is drop out.

Specifically:

  1. To summarise and critically appraise the current evidence of interventions targeting drop out among drug addicted persons in any form of drug abuse program
  2. To compare these drop out interventions against one another or comparing them to control interventions (placebo or no intervention)
