To assess the effectiveness of chronic disease management programs for adults with asthma.

Secondary objectives

To assess the effectiveness of chronic disease management programs for adults with asthma according to:

  • intensity of the intervention (for example, more intensive versus minimal interventions, in terms of number of intervention components and types of components, such as mainly centered on the patient versus on healthcare professionals);
  • duration or intensity of the intervention, or both; and
  • disease severity (if possible).
