This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:
To compare the value of local or regional anaesthesia versus general anaesthesia in patients undergoing endovascular repair of aortic aneurysms (EVAR). This will be examined from the literature primarily by reviewing the effects of type of anaesthesia on short-term mortality and morbidity, major complication rates, time of stay in hospital, and time of stay in ITU.
